Yelland & Papps Announces Transition to Advanced Cork Closures Across Single Vineyard Range
Barossa Valley winery adopts Amorim QORK XPUR technology to align with quality, sustainability, and cellar-worthiness

Barossa Valley, SA — 1st of June 2025 — Yelland & Papps, the boutique Barossa Valley winery known for its minimal intervention wines and deep grower relationships, is pleased to announce that its entire Single Vineyard range will be bottled under cork from the 2024 vintage onward. This strategic move follows years of research and consultation, culminating in the adoption of QORK XPUR, the latest generation cork closure from Amorim.

The new corks represent a major advancement in closure technology, offering 100% TCA-free certification, consistent oxygen control, and a negative carbon footprint. After extensive consultation with Amorim representative Henri Lemos, winemakers Susan and Michael Papps felt confident that this closure not only complements the technical integrity of their wines but also reflects their sustainability ethos.

The 2024 Single Vineyard wines—sourced from long-time growers Materne, Sonntag and Schild- will be the first to feature the new corks, available from mid-2025.
