It’s Barossa Shiraz Jim, but not as we know it.

When it comes to Shiraz, there is no doubt that the Barossa is one of the benchmark regions in the world. You’ll find plenty of column-space raving about the fruit weight, purity and sheer classic opulence of Barossa Shiraz and for good reason… it rocks.

We like to treat it a little differently to many others. In fact we do a whole bunch of stuff. 100% whole bunch.

That’s right. Hand-picked, whole bunches are fermented in old puncheons, spending about 14 days on skins before basket pressing to old oak puncheons for 10-11 months. We blend in small batches from other vineyards into the wine, bringing the whole bunch component down to around 60 – 70% before bottling the wine unfined and unfiltered.

We love making wine this way; the whole bunches add spice and textural elements, opening the wine up and letting a little more light shine in on that epic Barossa Shiraz fruit.

It’s bright and vibrant in colour with lifted aromas of dark and red plum fruits with a touch of raspberry and mulberry. Spicy with floral facets, you’ll find it medium-bodied with a juicy fruit profile, a touch of funk and a lot of deliciousness.
