If you seek the plushly-fruited comfort of a classic Barossa Shiraz, this is the wine for you.

It’s our study of an outstanding single vineyard located in the Western Barossa; old vines that are wonderfully farmed and consistently produce outstanding grapes and it’s our tip of the hat to the wines that put the Barossa on the global wine map.

It has a vibrant, deep colour and shows aromas of ripe summer berries and plush satsuma plum, dotted with fruitcake spice and hints of cassis, black licorice, roasting meats and finely-tuned vanillan French oak.

In the mouth the wine shows considerable fruit intensity, texture and flow and the wonderful flavours on the nose transpose neatly over onto the palate. The fruit, while rich and opulent, shows a lovely savoury edge, plenty of ripe, fine-grained tannin for structure and a long, persistent finish that trails off with flavours of ripe berry fruits and dreamy French oak.
