“The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.” – Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace.
A project and desire to push our winemaking starting in 2014, a project that has pushed us in many ways, and a project that has taught us with patience and time things will come together.
The Limited Cuvée wines are exceptional small parcels released only on selected vintages.

2016 Limited Cuvée Roussanne
This desire and passion also lead to the decision in 2016 to set aside a selected parcel of Pristine Roussanne free run juice and produce an aromatic, structured elegant white wine to sit above the rest.
The selected parcel sourced from the 0.5hectare vineyard in the Greenock sub region of the Barossa Valley that all their previous Roussanne wines have hailed from, with this parcel off the oldest plantings.
Hand-picked, left to chill overnight in the cool room and then destemmed Michael then puts the free run juice to a new French Oak puncheon to naturally ferment, and Malo left to Elevage with gentle continuous battonage.
Orange oil, pears, pastry cream and honey blossom, medium to full bodied and textured.
2014 Limited Cuvée Grenache
The Limited Cuvée wines first launched from the 2014 vintage when Susan & Michael Papps had a desire to produce some wines to push further boundaries in their winemaking and a direction for these wines which were more linear and have ultra-fine tannins, with elegance and length.
The selection of fruit for the first Limited Cuvée Grenache coming from a small 0.2 hectares dry grown 1935 vineyard in the Marananga sub-region of the Barossa Valley.
100% whole cluster fed into French Oak puncheons and left to naturally ferment for 317 days with no sulphur additions for the first year. After 317 days on skins pressed off to French oak puncheons with a small sulphur addition.
Ginger cake, blood orange intertwined with red berry fruit, touches of sage in the background, with a fine bead of acidity and minerality.
“Good colour – this alone is amazing, but so is the wine in the mouth. Points are arbitrary – 95 or nothing.” 95 points James Halliday Australian Wine Companion

“You’d never guess how the wine was made and matured if served blind. Points for bravery, time and effort, and its moderate alcohol.” 95 points James Halliday Australian Wine Companion.
50 dozen of each wine available. $92 per bottle $496 per six-pack
All wines have been, handmade, hand bottled, hand corked, hand labelled, hand foiled, hand stamped, hand wrapped, and hand packed by Michael & Susan Papps and their children Peyton and Campbell.
Further releases of the Limited Cuvée Roussanne will follow with the 2018 vintage.
Follow on with the 2017 Limited Cuvée Grenache and Shiraz these wines the fruit Michael & Susan sourced from exceptional top vineyards of Grenache and Shiraz. These vineyards were previously destined to the Divine label and treated with a different winemaking style, then the 2014 Limited Cuvee wines from the Modra vineyard, no whole cluster, all destemmed and only fourteen days on skins.
We have shifted away from the Divine label and going forward will focus on smaller parcels destined for the Limited Cuvée range.
Please enjoy and a gracious thank you to everyone that made this happen.
