It seems in after-dinner talk
Across the walnuts and the wine—
 Alfred Tennyson

When Johann Christian Hahn & Maria settled here at Ober Langmeil Barossa Valley, in 1846, the continuation to planting a sustainable food source was paramount and added to the orchard a walnut tree.
The Hahn family took two years to build their home, meticulously building two large cellars under the house to store their wares and produce from their mixed farming property.
Today we are fortunate to store Yelland & Papps museum wines, personal wines and our preserves from the property.
