Wines - 2016 YP Shiraz
All vineyards for this blend were picked and destemmed in February/ March. Wild fermented in open fermeters for an average of fourteen days on skins prior to gentle basket pressing. The parcels of wines then spent fifteen months maturing in 100% seasoned French oak prior to blending. This wine was then bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Fresh-faced version of Barossa Shiraz.
Summer berry pudding, spice and new leather. Medium bodied, juicy red berries, a bit of spice and dried herb, firm acidity, grainy tannin, and a spicy and tangy finish of sound length. Fruit first here, and a good easy drinking version of Barossa Shiraz it is too.

Made in a restrained and elegant style that is almost atypical of the Barossa Valley, yet with plenty of fruit-flavoured intensity right through the palate. Lovely fruit showing light red berry & spicy plum, with grainy tannins and neatly worked oak that doesn't intrude. Just gets it right.
