Our Wines - Special 2011 Delight Rose
Delight
The Wine
Pale strawberry with purple hues. Lifted aromas of fresh strawberries and cream. Fresh acid, light tannin, great length of fruit with subtle sweetness.
Imagine an outdoor umbrella, a sunny day, a cool pair of sunglasses, a small piece of cream cheese and some lovely company.
Imagine that!
The Winemaking
The Grenache spent 2 days on skins to achieve colour and structure, pressed off and cold fermented to maintain maximum fruit freshness. This wine was then filtered prior to bottling.
The Vineyard
The grapes were dry grown on the outskirts of Greenock, home of some of the most extraordinary grapes. Vines were planted in the early 1960’s in loamy topsoil over soft red clay. The grapes were picked in mid April to obtain acid and freshness.
